World of Glory (1991) was shown as part of both Eva’s Choice program and Patrik’s Choice program in the past edition of Go Short. During most of this short film, a plain, ordinary man tells us about his work as a real-estate broker, his dead father, his ordinary home and so on in a naturalistic voice, lacking any emotions. That doesn’t mean the film only represents ordinary events.
Tram (2012) was part of our Best Of 10 Years Program last edition at Go Short. It is an animation short film that you won’t easily forget and that will certainly put a smile on your face.
Today is World Refugee Day. Needless to say that it is a very important day: the number of people fleeing war, violence and persecution has never been so high. The short A Man Falls from the Sky touches the fear that exists around refugees and makes you think about your own behavior. For example, what would you do if a man falls from the sky?
Wild Horses (2017) won the Nijmegen Youth Award last april at our festival. We spoke on the phone with Rory Alexander Stewart, the director of Wild Horses (2017), about his experience at Go Short International Short Film Festival, what sparked him to make Wild Horses (2017), horses and his admiration for Emma Curtis, who played the lead role in Wild Horses (2017).
