Supporting Film is giving us a tremendously creative metaperspective on watching film. Co-produced by Go Short ourselves, Supporting Film dives into the experiences and commentaries of people watching films.
How does a blind person ‘watch’ a film? Why do people watch that wall of text called credits at the end of a film? What makes a film perfect? (or not?) Douwe Dijkstra dives into the opinions and insights of various people and gives us a great combination of animation, live action and more to illustrate how people experience film, whether in a cinema or at home. This film premiered at Go Short 2015 and has since done a very succesful run at over 40 short film festivals worldwide. This week saw its online premiere at Short of the Week and as of yesterday is also amongst the Staff Picks at Vimeo.com. Enjoy!
